Every year the residents of Moonwater Cove gather on the sandy shores of Old Hollow Beach to celebrate and acknowledge their darker history.
Lanterns are lit in honor of the people who have become memories who have become the ghost stories that haunt us all, while families gather around bonfires and tell stories that would otherwise be forgotten.
The elders get to pass on their knowledge, and the children grow up respecting their history and determined to learn from it. This yearly tradition brings together everyone who dares show up for an entire night of watching the tides; tradition states a curse will befall anyone who leaves before sunrise.
